Tortilla flats santa fe nm11/13/2023 I called it a bar only because they had a bartender and served booze. It reminded me of what I imagine Denny's is like. The atmosphere: What I didn't remember was how bright the place was. Overall, I'd give the food a 4 rating (those beans were dreadful), a tad lower than El Pinto or Sadies. She enjoyed it and again, a portion worthy of a take out box for the next day's lunch. In both cases, the black beans were bland and boring. It was moist, the sauce good, and the portion big. This trip I had the special, the Pork Chop Adovada. It was a decent portion and the red sauce was spicy and rich. The Food: Last trip I had the red chile pork ribs. The last time we were in the area, almost 8 years ago, we had a good meal at Tortilla Flats. The 3 stars reflect the poor service the food was terrific. If you want atmosphere or good service, don't bother. Summary: If you're looking for good New Mexico style food, rivaling Sadies or El Pinto, you'll be okay with almost anything Tortilla Flats serves.
